Us
The firm of Linda K. Kofron, CPA, CMA, is a local accounting office that offers services in the areas of income tax preparation, planning
and consulting for businesses and individuals. Linda Kofron started the business in 1987. Since that time, the firm has helped many businesses with financial management, taxes and planning. In addition, they have helped many individuals with taxes and planning.
Meet the Owner
Linda K. Kofron graduated from Illinois State University in 1980 with a Bachelor's degree -- majoring in Accounting and minoring in Computer Science. She began working at Coopers & Lybrand, a "Big
Four" accounting firm in Rockford at that time. Subsequently, she worked as an internal auditor and internal accountant for manufacturing and distribution companies before starting this accounting firm in 1987. She obtained her CPA certificate in 1980 and subsequently completed the requirements for a Certified Management
Accountant (CMA).
She completed financial planning courses at the College for Financial
Planning and passed the certified financial planning exam. She completes at least 40 hours of continuing education per year in order to remain up-to-date on developments in her field. She is a member of the American Institute of
CPAs (AICPA), Illinois CPA Society, Institute of Management Accountants (IMA),
and the National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP).
